Future of Carbon Accounting Profession webinar
In carbon accounting, we have made real progress on standards, alignment, and regulation over recent years. What has lagged is the systematic training and certification of individuals doing the work day in, day out.
That gap matters. If we want trust in carbon data, we cannot rely solely on frameworks and software. We need confidence that the practitioners applying those frameworks understand the underlying science, the intent of the standards, the limits of the data, and the ethical implications of the choices they make.
That is why the launch of a dedicated professional training pathway for carbon accounting feels like such an important milestone.
The Technical Associate in Carbon Accounting, developed by the Carbon Accounting Alliance and powered by MyCarbon, is designed to do exactly that. The course is accreditation with the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (ISEP) and is aimed at early-career sustainability professionals, junior consultants, analysts, and anyone transitioning into carbon accounting.
We will be hosting a webinar on 19th February at 9:00 AM (GMT), where we’ll dive into the details of the Associate Level Carbon Accounting Course and the new ISEP Carbon Accountant Register.
During this 1-hour session, you'll hear from both the ISEP team and MyCarbon team as they provide an in-depth look at the training programme and the professional register. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn how this qualification can enhance your skills in carbon accounting, helping you to stand out in the rapidly growing sustainability sector. Plus, we’ll be offering plenty of time for questions at the end.
